Question: How do I import the Gocator EDS in Studio 5000 V36 if an importing error occurs?

Answer: If you encounter issues while importing the Gocator EDS file in Studio 5000 V36. This is a known bug associated with this version of Rockwell Software. Below are some workarounds and steps to help you resolve the issue.
Workaround Steps:

Create an L5X File in V35 or Download the V35 L5X from the Provided Link:
- Use Studio 5000 V35 to create a module with the EDS file installed.
- Save this module as an L5X file.

Import the L5X File in V36:
- Open your project in Studio 5000 V36. Open an Additional Studio 5000 V36 window.
- Navigate to the “File” menu in the top left corner.
- Select “Open” and then choose “EDS_V35.L5X File.”
- Click “Open” to begin the import process.
- Once opened, Go to the Ethernet Module and Right-click on the GXXXX G2410 and click Copy
- Go to the desired project and paste the Ethernet Module

- Another suggestion to resolve this issue as stated by Rockwell is to "Upgrade Data Types,"
The solution is to install an AOP update from Rockwell. To install this update:
- Open the Product Compatibility & Download Center (PCDC) 4 web page.
- Search for one of the following analog modules: 1756-OF8, 1756-OF4, 1756-IF8 or 1756-IF16.
- Select the latest series/firmware for the module, and proceed to Downloads.
- Use the Select Files option to view all available downloads for the select module.
- Download the item AOP - Add On Profiles for 1756 Analog1 v40.14.70.
- Extract the files and run the installation. A reboot will be required after the install complete.
