Question
Why should I use DSLR for color texture when machine vision cameras can do the same?
Answer
For color capture, we recommend using a separate Canon DSLR camera to capture the color. This is because black and white machine vision cameras capture scans with higher accuracy, whereas the Canon DSLR captures better quality color texture for the scans. Color machine vision cameras are not as accurate in terms of data acquisition when compared to black and white machine vision cameras. There will always be a trade-off between using a DSLR for high-quality texture capture and using a color machine vision camera for ease of use.
